Credit Cards

Most shops, hotels and restaurants accept international credit cards.


Currency

The monetary unit in Qatar is the Qatari Riyal (QR), and the exchange rate is US $1=3.64QR. 
Foreign currency and traveler cheques can be exchanged at banks, the airport and exchange dealers (to avoid additional charges it is best to take travelers cheques in US Dollars or Pounds Sterling). The main bank branches are located on Grand Hamad Street in Doha and all banks are open Saturday to Thursday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm although some remain open into the evening. ATMs are available on the main streets, at banks and in shopping malls.


AirTravel

Doha International Airport is only 2.5 km from the city center.
The national carrier Qatar Airways has daily direct services from London to Doha, and several direct flights a week from Paris, Munich, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and from most cities in the Middle East. Qatar is also serviced by several major international airlines: British Airways flies direct from London to Doha daily, KLM flies direct from Amsterdam, while Emirates Airlines flies to Doha from most major hubs via Dubai.


Dialing Code

The international dialing code for Qatar is +974 and roaming services exist with many international telecommunications companies.

TheQatar Time Zone is GMT + 3 hrs


Passports & Visa Requirements

All visitors to Qatar need a valid Entry Visa, which can be obtained through the hotel they are staying at. Please note the following points:


Visas are required by everyone with the exception of travelers holding passports from the following countries, who can obtain visas at the airport:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA, Vatican

All GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) residents do not require an entry visa to Qatar.

The Organizers cannot be held responsible for any exhibitor who fails to obtain his/her Visa in time for the show.
